Folks have been taking advantage of the beautiful fall weather and warm temperatures to enjoy the Pass Creek Yurt in September and October. Reports of great hiking, fishing, mountain biking and just hanging out have been shared with us. Some clients bring along their favorite four-legged pals, others bring their kids for a nice weekend away from homework and cell phones. The Fall is such a great time in the mountains, and the Pass Creek Yurt is a wonderful, cozy basecamp in which to savor those longer nights with extra sleep or fun and games.
Mark pulled our backcountry skis out over the weekend and dusted them off. He grabbed the skins for each pair of skis to made sure they were clean and ready to go. The skins for my rock skis need a new coat of skin glue to be useful. We pulled out our packs as well. We wore our beloved Osprey Code 40’s for our Sierra spring skiing adventures. So we will need to move probes, first aid kits, repair kits, extra clothes, etc back to our Black Diamond JetForce packs in order to be ready for winter’s arrival.
We are seeing the Pass Creek Yurt book up for winter a bit earlier than usual. Although there are still plenty of available winter nights remaining, the calendar is beginning to fill. All open nights can be seen on our Reservations page. If a question is making you hesitate to confirm your reservation, please don’t hesitate to email or call us. And remember, there is still time come enjoy the last few weeks of Indian Summer at the Pass Creek Yurt!
