If you have, now you know what an avalanche sounds like. These colossal frozen waves come crashing down the mountainside
at over 40 miles per hour, adding anything unfortunate enough to be in their way to their swelling path of destruction.
Luckily, we’ve been in the mountains long enough to study avalanches, how to prepare for them, as well as when and where they’re most likely.
